The School believes that smart and formal dress is important in encouraging pupils to take pride in themselves and to encourage them to maintain high standards in all aspects of school life.

Outer garment: Plain dark coat or jacket (black or navy).
Blazer: Navy blue with School logo - Available from the School Uniform Shop.
Shirt: Plain white with a collar (must be tucked in at all times and top button fastened). Year 7 & 8; baby blue shirt.
Jumper: Navy blue V-neck with School logo (the jumper can not be worn instead of the blazer).
Tie: School tie with logo years 9, 10 and 11 (to be worn with logo clearly visible). Year 7; Blue/black tie and year 8 yellow/blue.
Trousers/skirt: Formal black (girls’ trousers must be full length, skirt must be at least knee height).
Shoes: Plain black shoes (NO TRAINERS); No coloured laces.
Socks/Tights: Plain white or black socks or black/navy or neutral tights for girls (patterned tights are not to be worn).
Hats: In Autumn and Spring terms plain woollen hats may be worn (black or blue) during break or lunch outside.
Jewellery: Watch only Permitted. NO Jewellery.
PE kit: White polo shirt with school logo and long sleeved blue top with school logo, navy or black tracksuit bottoms or shorts, white socks, trainers.

Blazers must be worn at all times with a white shirt and school tie when moving around the school. Individual staff may allow pupils to remove their blazers in lessons as and when appropriate.

The following are NOT ALLOWED and should not be worn/brought into school:

  • Jeans, cords, flared trousers, split, layered or sequin skirts, leggings, tracksuits, hooded tops, denim jackets, shorts, boots, platform shoes, trainers.
  • Basketball hats, baseball hats, football caps, or other extreme styles.
  • Rings, make-up, nail polish and extremes of hair style or colour.
  • Mobile phones, personal music systems (MP3, iPods, discman etc), electronic games, large sums of money or other expensive or valuable items must NOT be brought into school.

    How to Find Us

 

The PTA Uniform Shop is situated in class H19. The Hertford Avenue Entrance for Shene School can be used when the Gate is open. The classroom is the last door on the left (after the second gate) as you walk towards the grass field and has a sign over the door.
