CV Builder Website

For your Work Experience, you may be asked to produce a CV to show an employer what your skills and attributes are. A CV explains if you have any experience of work, or volunteer work, any awards or training you have done. Your CV should say in a nutshell all the best things about you. Click here for a way of creating a CV online. You can either register to save it online, or save it onto your computer or USB.

Business Mentors

This year some of our Year 10 students will have the benefit of being mentored by local business professionals. Business mentoring works to benefit the individuals, the school, the local community and the business community. The impact of these mentors benefits our students by: -

  • Increasing confidence and self-esteem
  • Enhancing responsibility for their own learning
  • Developing higher career aspirations
  • Developing a greater awareness of the opportunities and demands of higher education and the world of work
  • Enables them to access impartial advice

Extended Work Placements

Extended work placements are offered to students to back up their studies either at college or in school. Students find that they are better prepared for working life when they leave school. The benefits include: development of key skills; encouraging maturity and self reliance and supporting pupils learning into adult life.
